You had some great fans in the Guys n Dolls days do you recall any memorable moments meeting them? Do any particular ones come to mind?
Meeting Will the undertaker and his wife. Also being mobbed by some girls in Glasgow who managed to relieve me of handfuls of my hair! Also an English chap called Steven who professed his love for me on our GnD special. He came to see my Band in England recently and has a daughter called Martine.
You got together with Julie Dominic and Paul for a couple of songs at Dominics 50th birthday bash? Did it bring back memories of the old days?
Yes great memories, It was a good night!!!
What have you been up to since the band split?
Married Dutch record producer, lived in Epe for four years, had my daughter Daniella and took care of her, and also helped write and produce records with Gerard Stellaard. Musically, I made some records in Holland including a hit with Rob de Nijs, Duet, and a couple of songs with my ex husband Gerard as Zillah which is my real middle name….I KNOW!!! We all went back to England. Gerard and I divorced. I went back into acting and TV commercials and also song jingles. Met my new man, Michael, in the early 90s and we married on Christmas Eve in the Millennium. Recently been playing with a band called The Wedge; we do gigs and private functions just for the fun of it. I’ve even bumped into a few of the old fans along the way, when there has been a venue that the public can go to.
Do you still keep in contact with the other members of Guys n Dolls?
Yes at Parties and functions, although I haven’t seen Thereza for 25 years, and David for 12 years. We’re all back in contact at the moment for the big reunion. It’s great fun.
Do you have a message for all the Guys n Dolls fans still out there?
Yes. Thank You for all your support over the years, and sticking by us for all this length of time, I suspect Julie & Dominic play a great part in that as they have stayed in the music business in Holland which has helped keep the fans….Wicked!!!
